A new brand in the market, Olivetti introduces its colour inkjet printer, the
Olivetti Nomad-Jet 100 Inkjet Printer. This smart printer unit is a handy, portable box like printer designed for personal use. The unit has the dimensions 30 cm x 13.2 cm x 6.7 cm and is as light as 1.1 kg. The unit provides a maximum resolution of 600 dpi x 300 dpi for both colour and greyscale printing. It has an installed RAM of 128 KB size.
This inkjet printer has a media handling capacity of 20 sheets through its auto load document feeder. It supports the media sizes ANSI A (Letter) (216 x 279 mm), Legal (216 x 356 mm), A4 (210 x 297 mm) following a curved paper path and 216mm x 356 mm being the max media size (custom size) supported by the printer. The printer works with a print speed of up to 4ppm for black and white printing and up to 2ppm for colour drafts.
Olivetti Nomad-Jet 100 Colour Inkjet Printer has support for both wireless and wired connectivity technologies with 3 different interfaces viz., parallel, USB and infrared (IrDA). The USB port is a 4 pin Type B port and the parallel interface is an IEEE 1284 (EPP/ECP) – 36 pin Centronics port. The printer consumes a nominal power of 20 W at operations and 2 W at standby. The unit also has a nickel metal hydride battery and has a run time up to 240 pages. The system requirements are operating system – Microsoft DOS, Microsoft Windows 3.x /95/98, Microsoft Windows 2000 / NT4.0 and Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition and the unit is bound to a sound emission of 50dBA at operations.
